PUC Chamber Orchestra

Orchestra Conductor

Audition Information

As a way of helping me get to know your skill level with your instrument, be prepared to play two pieces (or excerpts) of contrasting styles (something fast and something slow to show your ability to play technical and lyrical passages) as well as scales. If it has been a while since you played your instrument, but would still like to play in orchestra, sign up for an audition anyway and be prepared to play something so I know what you are capable of at the moment. Both incoming and returning students will be required to audition.

Auditions will be held the first week of classes. Audition sign-up sheets will be posted on the door of Paulin Hall Room 207.

Orchestra Conductor

Ensemble before Capital

The worship services during the Parent's Weekend activities at PUC were the backdrop of the debut of Rachelle Berthelsen-Davis as conductor of the PUC Orchestra. Davis conducted the Adagio in G Minor for Organ and Strings by Tomaso Albinoni. During the MFSA concert in the afternoon, the orchestra also performed. They presented the Toccata by Guillermo Frescobaldi and the Concerto Grosso No. 1 for Strings and Piano Obligato by Ernest Bloch. Junior Piano Performance major Michelle Holy was the soloist.
