Map of the Lower Camp

Lower Camp

Renting the lower camp includes the four "dorm cabins," Sequoia, Godetia, Limosa and Macoma as well as the use of the kitchen and dining room. Each cabin has four rooms and each room contains a queen bed and two single beds in the form of a bunk.

The rooms do not come with linens, bedding, towels or pillows. If it is inconvenient or impossible for you to supply your own bedding and linens we have a small supply that we will rent to you for a nominal fee. You should arrange for this at the time of booking.

The lower camp is typically rented, on weekends, to various college groups, church retreats and workshops. Thus, the lower camp cabins tend to be in short supply on weekends. The family cabins (Capella, Vanessa and Lonicera) are more available for weekend use.

Booking

Calling the Field Station at 707-937-5440 is the best and most efficient way of booking a reservation. The first night's rent and a credit card are required to secure a reservation. The cabin and group rates are adjusted every July 1. Check this website for the current rates.

Check In

Upon arrival, go down Albion Main Street to the lab where the office is located. If no one is present, pick up the phone and it will ring the person on duty. That person will answer your call and come to the office to check you in.

Check In time is 3 p.m. You may arrive before 3 p.m. but you may not be able to move into your cabin before 3 p.m.

Check Out

Check out time is 11 a.m. Guests must have their cabins completely empty by 11 a.m. so that housekeeping can prepare the cabins for the next guests that will be coming.

Group Reservations

Groups will be charged a $300 damage deposit. If paying by credit card, this damage deposit is waved in lieu of charging the credit card for damage that might have occurred during the stay. Groups having done significant damage in the past may be required to put up, at the time of booking, a $1,000 damage deposit.
