
Fall Birding Workshop
September 24-27
General Schedule
The session begins with afternoon birding on Thursday, September 25.
The first meal is served Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m.
The next two days are consumed with birding field trips and lectures on various topics.
Sunday morning a pelagic trip on a charter boat will take us out to see albatros and other pelagic birds not normally seen right on the coast.
The session ends with morning birding on Sunday, September 27. You can prepare a sack lunch to take with you for your homeward journey.

Cost for the Workshop
Package price for a single individual rooming alone in our regular rooms: $251
Package price for a couple rooming together in our regular rooms: $382
The price includes 3 nights stay, 9 meals (some will be sack lunches for convenience) and a workshop fee.
The pelagic trip on the charter boat will be extra (at least $50 and more like $75-$100). As soon as we have an exact price it will be posted in this spot.
There is a 7.25% sales tax charge for the meal portion of the workshop fee. Regular PUC students are not subject to the sales tax charge.
These are last year's prices, the new prices have not yet been set. When they are set, this message will go away and the new prices will be inserted.
What to Bring
Bedding (sleeping bag, towels, pillows, etc.). We do have linens available for rent. Make arrangements with the manager in advance if you plan to rent your bedding and linens.
Layered clothing (sweat shirt, jacket, sweater, etc.). The weather may be cold and foggy or pleasant and sunny. There is no way of knowing in advance.
Boots or shoes that are suitable for walking and tramping through the woods and grass.
Binoculars and or spotting scope.
Camera.
The Rooms
The sleeping cabins each have a queen bed and two singles in the form of a bunk. Each cabin has its own private bath (includes a toilet shower and vanity).
Camp Amenities
High-speed internet service either by ethernet cable in your own room or anywhere on campus via a wireless connection.
A telephone line in each room available for local calls and credit card calls.
Canoes and kyaks for paddling up river.
Meeting rooms in the lab for the lectures and general instructions for the workshop.
